WOOD-CARBON WINDOWS
Model lines of wood-carbon windows
The term wood-carbon window is a new and so far only working name for a newly developed type of window of an asymmetric design making use of modified thermowood. It is a wooden EURO window made of CORYNTHIAN, a special sandwich material – a lamella made of a modified tempered balk is fitted onto a wooden frame. What exactly is it? It is a thermally treated wooden balk impregnated only with natural oils, waxes and resins. This greatly improves its physical-mechanical properties and resistance to weathering, fungi, mould and insects. What is more, the increase in temperature at the start of a fire will create a crust which will delay the start of burning on the outer side.
A window made of these natural materials is environmentally friendly and can be supplied as maintenance-free. If you need to freshen up the surface of the window, you need only grind it slightly with emery paper and polish it. A long maintenance-free life and environmentally friendly properties represent indisputable advantages of wood-carbon windows.
